In the year 1754 Samuel Love emigrated to America through New Castle, Delarware, which was common at the time for people of Scotoch-Irish descent coming from Ireland, before eventually moving to Cecil County Maryland. Being banished from Ayr by Catholic persecution went to the north part of Irland where he remained a short time. He in the company with James Evans, Mr. Nebit, Mr. Lyons, Mr. Sterette, and a Mr. McCoy left Londonderry and emigrated to America.
Samuel and Rosanna were Presbyterieans.
Samuel was a Cooper by trade.
Samuel served as a private in a Maryland unit in the Revolutionary War.
